Hop-to-it Singing Meter

The visuals for this activity came from the book/CD  "Primary Partners Singing Fun" by Jennette Guyman-King.  If you can't find the book any longer (I found it on Amazon) you can just use Google Images & find cute frogs & lily pads.  You will need a frog for each program song.  Tape the songs to either the front or back of the frogs.  You will need three lily pads.  On one lily pad write "Croak!", the next "Jump Higher!" and the last "Grrreat!"  Of course, I laminated everything.

Have the children take turns drawing a frog and, as a group, sing the song on the frog.  Judge songs, and move the frog to the pad that most describes the quality of the children's singing.

The kids loved it and were disappointed if they didn't get to "grrreat!".  Thanks to Jennette Guyman-King for this fun activity!
